Cyclonix’s Barone Helps Marlins Beat Mets in Major League Pitching Debut
Daniel Barone

MORGAN HILL, Calif., August 13, 2007—Employees of Cyclonix, a creator of dynamic brand architecture based in Morgan Hill, CA, watched Friday night as Cyclonix team member Daniel Barone made his major league debut. As starting pitcher for the Florida Marlins, Barone helped his team achieve a 4-3 victory against the Mets at Shea Stadium.

“He’s got good command of all his pitches. He’s won at every level,” said Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez.

Barone has worked at Cyclonix during his “off season” for the past two years in both the shop and the warehouse. “We have all been rooting for Daniel, he is an integral part of the Cyclonix team,” says Marty McGreevy, president of Cyclonix.

Barone started the night on a high note, striking out the Mets’ lead hitter, All-Star Jose Reyes. He pitched four and 2/3 innings, scattered five hits, and allowed three runs, two of which were earned—finishing the night with a 3.86 era. “It was amazing, a dream come true. I still can't believe it; I'm speechless!” said Barone.
